Mr. Le Thanh Hai at the anniversary of the day President Ho Chi Minh left the country to seek ways for national independence


 

An exhibition to mark the 100th anniversary of the day President Ho Chi Minh left the country to seek ways for national independence.

Works began on phase 2 of the project to upgrade the Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Ho Chi Minh Museum on June 5.

The event, held by the Ho Chi Minh City municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was attended by Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Truong Tan Sang; Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai; and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Huynh Dam, along with other leaders of the City.

With an area of 1,200 sq.m and a total cost of nearly VND 70 billion, the second phase of the project will include the construction of a grand hall, screening rooms for films and exhibition halls for displaying exhibits, pictures and documents related to President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career.

The project is scheduled to be completed in February, 2012.
